Khun Paen (c. 1491– 1529) was a famous Thai magician and warrior. (Khun is a military rank similar to General. English translation literary sources tend to spell his name Phan however modern Thai amulet vendors usually prefer Paen.) He was a disciple of the distinguished monk and magician, Arjarn Kong from whom he discovered lots of magical secrets and rituals consisting of the esoteric use of yantras (magical diagrams including spiritual geometry and astrology).
Khun Paen developed unbelievable magic powers: he might make himself invulnerable or invisible. He transformed tree leaves into upset wasps in order to foil enemies. Maybe most significantly to numerous modern followers, Khun Paen, who was apparently very handsome, was able to make himself definitely irresistible to ladies. (The declared proof remains in the harem he is reputed to have accumulated.)
Modern Khun Paen amulets are thought to magically draw in and entryway females and thus are amongst the most sought-after Thai amulets. Allegedly spouses sometimes prohibited their hubbies from using them. In addition to being love magnets, Khun Paen amulets also apparently supply security and prosperity. Khun Paen’s other specialty derives from allegedly being the first to change a baby into a Guman Thong spirit helper, in this case his own baby son.See Likewise
